This example supports our experience with implementing BABB in the micro-finance industry.

ProServ South Africa was contracted to manage and implement the Building A Better Business programme in the Micro Financing Sector. This structured workshop concept, originally from the UK, was implemented with targeted businesses and involved management in two 2-day workshops to support the organisation with improvement of key aspects of the business, such as business strategy, planning, human resources and performance management.

BANKSETA - Investors In People Implementation

This example supports our experience with implementing IIP in the broader banking sector.

ProServ South Africa was contracted to the BANKSETA to manage and implement the Investors In People project with specific focus on the micro-finance sector. Investors In People (IIP) is a human resource focused quality standard from the UK which ensures that compliant organisations meet internationally agreed HR standards. In total, we supported 40 micro finance businesses with IIP.

Micro Finance SA - Development Business Management Tools

This example supports our experience with implementing business management tools within the micro-finance sector.

The work included assisting Micro Finance SA (MFSA) with its people management and development practices in line with Investors in People principles - the principles that form the foundation for the BABB programme. MFSA is the largest representative of professional micro financiers and part of its responsibility is the promotion of professional business practice in the micro finance sector.
The work undertaken included the development of job profiles for all positions in the company; the alignment of the business planning process with the company's performance management and development process; a review of the policies and procedures of the company as well as a review of the induction process.
