The NWPTB appointed ProServ South Africa to develop a new curriculum for the hotel schools in Mafikeng and Ga-rankuwa. The project included the development of 5 certificate programmes, 1 diploma programme and 8 skills programmes. Furthermore it included a Train-the- Trainer programme needed to capacitate the lecturers to work with the newly developed outcomes based materials.

The implementation of the project ensured that both hotel schools re-gained their THETA accreditation and used a focused and relevant curriculum to develop new entrants into the Hospitality industry.

ProServ South Africa was appointed by the CETA to develop all training materials for 24 identified learnerships in the Construction and Engineering Industry. The project was awarded to ProServ South Africa as a result of its sound and internationally tested Material Development Methodologies and ISO 9001:2000 certified Quality Assurance Processes. Furthermore, ProServ South Africa was awarded the contract on the basis of involving and capacitating black providers in the projects.

The aim of the project was to develop Facilitator, Learner, Assessment and workplace guides for learnerships in the industry covering 2330 Credits. The project was completed within the stated time frames and budget requirements.
