Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre -Development, Implementation and Management of a Training Academy.

This example demonstrates our ability to manage training processes in line with the needs of large scale organisations.

Since October 2007, ProServ South Africa has been contracted by the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre to develop and implement the Birchwood Training Academy. The focus of the academy is skills development, service measurement through surveys and mystery visits, operational standards development, quality management system implementation, performance management and reviews, as well as to perform on going service measurement activities. Once a month mystery visits are conducted on-site by trained mystery visitors using Amplixs for data gathering, monitoring, benchmarking and reporting.

Together with Birchwood management, data is assessed and annual training plans are developed which are implemented by means of classroom training, eLearning training and on-the-job coaching with the involvement of supervisors and managers on site.

ECP
Eastern Cape Tourism Board - Mentorship Training Programme

This example proofs our ability to organise and manage training for a group of organised Mentors with funding of TEP

Together with the ECTB we embarked in June 2009 on the implementation of a Mentorship Programme for 30 Tourism SMMEs in the Eastern Cape. The programme is focused on SMMEs of three centres in the province; namely Mthatha, East London and Port Elizabeth. The mentors were selected from the province on the basis of previous experience in the sector and the ability to provide support in specific topics. The programme was implemented with support of TEP and ran until July 2010. The Mentorship programme incorporates both one-on-one support sessions between mentor and mentee and SMME group sessions in order to support the SMMEs with Market Access and Product Development. Every mentor-mentee relationship is guided by a specific Business Growth plan with clear monthly deliverables on the basis of which the parties report back to the funding partners.
