Tourism Grading Council of South Africa Training of Tourism Grading Assessors
The example demonstrates our expertise in training tourism graders involved in service measurement and achieving service excellence. In 2005, the Tourism Grading Council contracted Proserv South Africa for a 3 year period to train new and existing grading assessors, as well as assessors for new categories (e.g. restaurants and universal access). To date approximately 150 grading assessors have been trained. In the beginning of 2009 our contract was renewed to conduct a skills audit for existing graders, ensuring that the training programme would be updated to reflect the amended grading standards and to conduct training for newly recruited graders in outlying provinces and new grading categories.

Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre Conceptualization and implementation of Birchwood Training Academy
From the end of 2007, Proserv South Africa has been contracted by the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre to develop and implement the Birchwood Academy. Services inlcludes focusing on skills development, service measurement, operational standards development, quality management system implementation, performance management and reviews. Once a month mystery visits are being conducted on site by trained mystery visitors using Amplixs for data gathering, monitoring, benchmarking and reporting. Furthermore, on an ongoing basis, Amplixs provides the platform to send out electronic guest satisfaction surveys to all of the Birchwood’s guests in order to obtain feedback from their guests aimed at organisational and service improvement. Access to reporting is provided via our web based system Amplixs, allowing swift and timely follow up. Quarterly service improvement workshops are facilitated in order to indentify root causes and determine recommendations for organisational improvement. Delivery Actual Time frame: Ongoing
Implementation of Learnerships and Skills Programmes
Since 2003, Proserv South Africa has been contracted by LSG Sky Chefs to develop and implement various Learnerships & Skills Programmes, inlcuding a National Certificate in Professional Cookery and Management. Skills Programmes focused on Assistant Chefs in order to assist new staff in raising standards and professionalism. Delivery Actual Time frame: Ongoing
